US FUTURE STATES ATLAS
Selected FS Explorations

To make the USE Embassy Documents, I designed and made an inkable rubber stamp of each “future state,” such as New Albania, Tunisiana, USAntarctica. Stamps were inked and printed superimposed on the “official” Embassy documents. I began to explore printing onto mixed media works printed on atlas pages, which are aptly named Future States Explorations. At one time there were over 200 of them. Many no longer exist, with some becoming the ground for Overpaintings.
